At St Mary’s baptised children are welcome to receive Holy Communion after following a short preparation programme at the age of seven or eight. The decision to follow Christ as a disciple for the whole of one’s life is an adult decision which is marked by the sacrament of confirmation. Young people aged 14 and older are encouraged to take this step when they feel ready to do so.

The Skeptikos club (for those seeking truth) meets on Sunday afternoons at 4 pm in the vicarage for young people of secondary school age who are exploring the meaning of life. Those who wish to be confirmed may do so after participating in this group. The Bishop comes to St Mary’s to officiate at a confirmation service early in the new year.
