Primrose Hill in north London is a mixture of council housing and private estates, tower blocks and terraced houses, long leaseholders and short-term flat-sharers. St Mary's draws its congregation from all of these. A few come from further afield, drawn by St Mary's special blend of beautiful liturgy, with fine music, reflective preaching, and a community of outward-looking, friendly people. St Mary's was built in the 1870s by the people of Primrose Hill for the people of Primrose Hill, and it has been a place of prayer and service to the local community for over a hundred and thirty years. It is part of the Church of England, in the Diocese of London. |
