We value children and children need values to live by

The Sunday School operates most Sundays during term-time across the road in our church school, St Paul's. It begins at 10.25am in the school hall with a short act of worship. The children then go into groups for discussion and activities to learn more about the Christian faith and the Bible. Older children come across to church in time for the Peace, and the younger children in time for communion.

Please note:

• For security reasons the school doors will be shut at 10.40am. We require all children to be registered.
• When it comes to the classes, if at all possible, please leave your child and go across to church.
• Although the children are supervised at all times, please remember that they are ultimately still your responsibility.
• Please note that the school playground is strictly out of bounds
• Parents of toddlers are encouraged to organise a crèche, with parents looking after one another's children so that the other adults can attend the service.
• When the children come across to church at communion time, please bring them forward with you for a blessing. It is a special time for people, so please encourage them to be quiet and reverent by setting a good example yourselves.
• We need parents to help get the hall ready, and to clear up, clean the toilets and lock up afterwards. If you would like to help, please speak to one of the Sunday School co-ordinators.

Health and Safety

Sunday School co-ordinators are not trained in Health & Safety issues or legislation. They are parents like you and work in a purely voluntary capacity. Therefore please remember that the safety of your child remains your sole responsibility. Parents and carers who leave their children at Sunday School while they attend church must understand this. We cannot be held responsible for any accident your child incurs.
